2025 U-20 AFCON: Zubairu Eyes Win in Flying Eagles’ Group Finale
In their last Group B match at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, the Flying Eagles would give it their all to defeat Kenya, according to head coach Aliyu Zubairu.
In their second group match, Morocco held the seven-time champions to a 0-0 draw on Sunday night at the June 30 Air Defence Stadium in Cairo.
Nigeria has four points from two games, good for second place in the group.

For Zubairu’s team to guarantee a spot in the quarterfinals, they must defeat Kenya on Wednesday.
Kenya has zero points and is at the bottom of the group.
After the victory, he declared, “We will approach the game against Kenya with all sense of positivity.”
Even if they haven’t earned a point in this group yet, they are a solid team, and we will play against them with a great deal of respect.
“To get the three points, we will play with complete focus.”
