Former Special Adviser on Political Affairs to President Bola Tinubu in the Office of Vice President Kashim Shettima, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has spoken out regarding Tinubu’s connection with his vice, Shettima.
There are rumors that Tinubu may not only sideline Shettima, but may also drop him before the 2027 general election.
At times, the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC, has had to deny the allegations, calling them false.
Baba-Ahmed, a former spokesman for the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), has resigned as President Bola Tinubu’s political adviser.

Some parties accused him of resigning after realizing that the Vice President was no longer relevant to Tinubu.
On Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, the former NEF chairman was asked to shed light on the relationship between the country’s top two citizens.
He replied, “I didn’t notice that. I find it odd. To be honest, I believe the rumours are made up by the two.
“I’ve never actually interacted with the President. I never asked Tinubu how he felt about Shettima.
“But I spoke to Shettima. I can only tell you from Shettima’s perspective. I don’t believe Shettima feels he’s been marginalized.
“I don’t think he believes Tinubu has a claim against him. I watched a President and Vice President that worked effectively together. The synergy was present.”
