Again, Supreme Court Validates Gov Sanwo-Olu’s Election, Dismisses PDP’s Appeal.

The Supreme Court has against affirmed the election of Governor Babjide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state.

The apex court dismissed the appeal filed by Mr Azeez Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, against the Court of Appeal’s verdicts upholding Sanwo-Olu’s election.

Justice Adam Jauro, who read the lead judgement said the appeal has no iota of merit and was accordingly dismissed

He challenged the election of Sanwo Olu amd prayed the court to set it aside

Adediran challenged earlier rulings by the Lagos State Election Tribunal that dismissed their petitions alleging irregularities in Sanwo-Olu’s victory during the March 2023 gubernatorial election.
