Ijoba Lande Condemns Funke Akindele for Unapproachability and N90,000 Payment After a Month of Work
Following a month of working on Funke Akindele’s film set, Nigerian comedian and actor Ijoba Lande has criticized his senior colleague for overpaying him ₦90,000.
In a video that went viral online, Lande reportedly described his encounter with Funke, claiming that the actress was difficult to get along with and that he was unable to snap a photo with her when they were filming the film.
According to Lande, Funke Akindele liked one of his videos on social media and messaged him.
“I was thrilled to see Funke’s message and didn’t bother to charge her because I thought it would be the big break my career needed,” the skitmaker claimed.

After the incident, Lande claimed to have learnt his lesson and would charge everyone who approached him for a job, including Michael Jackson.
In addition, he counseled up-and-coming artists in the entertainment sector to demand their fees without embarrassment or holding anyone in high regard.
When I went to work for Funke Akindele, I worked for her in Amen Estate for an entire month. in the time, I was married and lived in Ayobo, he added. I usually hurried home if I noticed that we didn’t have much work left. Even after a month of working with Funke Akindele, I swear to God, she did not offer me N150,000. It’s that sector? If deity has already helped you achieve some level of popularity, don’t consider anyone a deity. This is for all of you aspiring people who wish to take advantage of you.
At that time, did you realize what they did to me? She loved one of my videos and messaged me. I don’t message people because I like this. When Funke Akindele speaks to you, she does so politely and with a soft voice. She was never personable, and during the entire time I worked for her, we never took a picture. I swear to God that I detest pleading with folks to let me snap their picture so that I don’t become offended. Even if Davido or Wizkid visit, I will only say hello because I’m not photogenic. I was thrilled to be hired by Funke Akindele at the time since it gave me a significant platform.
You guys won’t believe how that work turned out for me if I tell you. I thought I couldn’t bill someone like Funke Akindele when they presented the paperwork to me and Wendy came to meet me. That was when I felt I couldn’t work with her. If it’s right now, I’ll let Michael Jackson know how much I want to get, even if he wants to use me. If he truly needs me, he will cover the cost. They informed me that I would be receiving $90,000 per month once I was upon the premises. Since I am not illiterate, I carefully read the form they brought me, but I assumed it was all a joke, and after a month, I ended up with 90,000.
