Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning performer, has claimed that Nigerian music business gatekeepers tried everything imaginable to stifle his development.
He revealed this when responding to a viral footage from a recent interview in which senior music executive Obi Asika said that some Nigerian music industry gatekeepers attempted to stymie Burna Boy’s development, but he overcame them and exploded abroad.
Burna Boy remarked in the comments section of a blog that shared the video on Instagram, “This is not even half of the story.” They tried everything they could to break me. They are still doing their best. Lol. But all they did was start an insatiable inferno that will burn them for eternity.
