The release of notorious critic Verydarkman has sparked a new scandal, with actor Uche Maduagwu accusing him of trying to escape Nigeria.
After being detained on May 2, 2025, amid widespread protests and pleas for his release, Verydarkman was released from custody on May 6, 2025, but he is now the target of fresh allegations. Adding to the already heated situation, Uche Maduagwu has publicly claimed that Verydarkman intends to leave Nigeria for Ghana.
Maduagwu’s charges have drawn criticism, particularly in light of the current public conflicts between the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Verydarkman. In order to stop the purported escape, he has also encouraged immigration officials to take immediate action.
