Ladipo Johnson, the spokesperson for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has criticized Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, for speaking too quickly about the opposition coalition.
“It would have been better to finalize arrangements before revealing the coalition,” Johnson said.
Johnson made a suggestion on Tuesday’s Arise TV Morning Show that Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the NNPP, might be negotiating with the coalition as well as the All Progressives Congress.
Ladipo asserts: “It would be untrue to say that we are not speaking to anyone; El-Rufai moved and spoke too rapidly, which is the root of our current issue.
“All I’m saying is that there are some things you have to put off until the very last minute when you have a sitting government and you believe you want to take them on. They can more easily identify you and stop you when you come out to present your cards.
“Every movement and group in this nation is communicating with every other group. Kwankwaso will undoubtedly be thinking about a variety of things because I have folks who speak to me in my own unique way.
“Kwankwaso is very aware of the situation in the country and has always moved to the opposition, so it will depend on other factors.”

Additionally, he claimed that Kwankwaso is a principled man and not concerned about stomach infrastructure.
The NNPP spokesperson added that Kwankwaso will be chosen by President Bola Tinubu instead of Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the APC.
“He’s not about stomach infrastructure,” he stated. “He left the ruling PDP when they were discouraged and formed the APC, and he left again when the APC took power.”
For him, it all comes down to principles; whether you agree with him or not, he is a moral individual. Would you transport Kwankwaso to Ganduje if you were Tinubu? What is the contribution of Ganduje?
