2025/26 UCL Draw: Barcelona, Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid Confirmed in Pot 1 [Full List]
Champions of the Premier League, Barcelona Because Roma failed to qualify on the last day, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Real Madrid were all assigned to Pot 1 of the seeds for the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League league phase draw.
According to reports, this will put Barcelona in Pot 1 for the second straight season.
If Atalanta had placed fifth in Serie A last season, Roma would have guaranteed a place in the competition; instead, they ended up finishing in the top four.
Roma has once again been sent to the UEFA Europa League after Juventus clinched fourth place this season.
A spot in Pot 1 is given to the Champions League winners and the eight teams that have performed the best in Europe during the previous five seasons.
At the moment, Barcelona is in tenth place and Roma is in ninth. Barcelona advances to the first pot after Roma is eliminated.
Manchester City, led by Pep Guardiola, will also be in Pot 1. However, there is no restriction on the teams in Pot 1 from playing each other.

It should be noted that Thursday, August 28 is the date of the group stage draw.
Each club and the pot in which it is placed are shown below.
POT 1: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Internazionale, Chelsea, and Borussia Dortmund Barcelona.
POT 2: Rangers (must reach qualifying), Atalanta, Villarreal, Juventus, Eintracht Frankfurt, Club Brugge (must reach qualifying), Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid, and Benfica (must reach qualifying).
Depending on whatever clubs make it through qualifying, Pots 3 and 4 will be determined.
Pot 3 will undoubtedly include Ajax Amsterdam, Napoli, Sporting CP, Olympiacos, Slavia Prague, and Marseille.
Celtic, AS Monaco, Athletic Club, and Newcastle United are all set to end up in Pot 4.
