CHAN 2024: Home Eagles Aim to Replicate Super Falcons, D’Tigress Success – Captain Nduka
According to reports, the captain of the home-based Super Eagles, Junior Nduka, stated that the squad hopes to win the 2024 African Nations Championship and follow in the footsteps of the Super Falcons and D’Tigress.
Recently, D’Tigress and the Super Falcons were successful on the continental scene.
Last month, the Super Falcons, led by Justine Madugu, won a record-tying 10th championship at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
In Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, D’Tigress won the Women’s AfroBasket championship for the fifth time in a row on Sunday.
At the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar, the Home Eagles will take on Senegal, the reigning champions, on Tuesday night (today) in the first CHAN title match.

Nduka stated that their goal is to increase Nigeria’s level of success.
“Our women’s team recently won the basketball championship, and our female team recently won the WAFCON. We want to build on that strong record for the nation,” the Remo Stars told reporters.
