Imisi, a housemate from Big Brother Naija Season 10, has talked about a traumatic childhood event that has plagued her for years.
She reportedly revealed the story when housemates were asked to discuss their lives following the Head of House challenge.
Speaking with teammates Sultana, Koyin, Jason Jae, and Mide, she described being sexually abused at the age of 13, which resulted in a pregnancy she had to terminate.
She claims that at that age, she was sent from her home and eventually adopted by someone.
After the person’s mother found out she was in their home on the third day, she was taken to a church.
She was put in a tiny, dimly lit store room and kept there alone herself all night.
Even as an adult, Imisi added, the terrible incident left her unable to remain alone in dark areas.
She claimed that the memory is still one of the most difficult aspects of her early years.
I was raped, then. I had never been raped before in my life. The following day, I was returned home after having to go to school, and in that same room, I was raped a second time. Then, when I was only 13 years old, I discovered I was pregnant. The child had to be aborted. Every time I can’t be in a dark room by myself, I feel like that traumatizes me,” Imisi recalled.
