Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno disclosed his greatest regrets as a governor on Friday.
Eno revealed that his greatest regret as a governor is still the passing of his wife, Patience.
Mrs. Patience was buried soon after her death in September 2024.
However, Eno stated in an interview that was broadcast on Arise Television: “I lost my wife here, and it hurts.” I wish she were with me at this moment. It can be difficult at times.
The governor also discussed his accomplishments, including his work on senior citizen projects.
“My administration has demonstrated remarkable compassion, particularly, as you just highlighted, elderly people,” he remarked. Additionally, we just had a session with the Albino, and this is quite evident to me.
For those in need, we have the Arise Compassionate Homes. These people can now have a location they call home, but you have to see where they used to live.
We are currently working on 500 of these homes in every ward throughout the entire state, and we have completed 267 of them thus far.
The next step is to determine how we can support our citizens’ entrepreneurial endeavors. That’s because that’s my background, and seeing these young people having to be trained and having to give them tools that they can work with.
“This is how to help these young men and women, train entrepreneurship, and boost the economy.” I take those two initiatives very seriously.
