BBNaija 10: Why I never got along with Isabella – Thelma Lawson
Thelma Lawson, a recently expelled Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, has explained why her eagerly awaited bond with contestant Isabella never developed in the house.
In her post-show interview, Thelma, who was booted Saturday night in a surprise double eviction with Bright Morgan, revealed that the miscommunication resulted from her strong relationship with Kayinkunmi, a roommate she had known prior to the game.
She claims that Isabella started to see Kayinkunmi as a threat since she mistakenly believed that their bond was romantic.
I regret that Isabella and I were never able to establish a friendship. Since she is a mother to a 14-year-old kid, I truly looked forward to getting to know her.

“I wanted to understand life from her point of view. However, things changed when my friend from outside the house, Kayinkunmi, joined in the game, Thelma explained.
According to Thelma, friction increased when she appointed Kayinkunmi as her deputy while she was Head of House.
She went on to say that Isabella’s initial response to being chosen as her deputy indicated that their relationship was strained.
She had gone too far, based on her response that evening. I didn’t think it was appropriate to have a chat at that time,” she stated.
Thelma explained that she purposefully kept the extent of her acquaintance with Kayinkunmi a secret, stating that it was not essential to make the announcement public.
“I chose Kayinkunmi as deputy because he is a buddy of mine. I only gave an explanation to people who asked me directly since I didn’t want anyone to use us for highlighting.
She remarked, “Unfortunately, the damage had already been done by the time Isabella realized there was nothing between us.”
The reality star came to the conclusion that although she had hoped for a true friendship with Isabella, their time in the house was never able to mend the divide caused by the misunderstanding.
