Phyna Blames Dangote Group for Negligence in Sister’s Death

Phyna, a Big Brother Naija reality star, has accused Dangote Group of being careless and insensitive in relation to her sister Ruth Otabor’s passing and funeral.

Phyna asserted in a string of Instagram posts that her sister’s passing was not only unfortunate but also premeditated and orchestrated.

She charged that the Dangote Group had not fully paid for burial and medical costs as previously declared in public.

Phyna claims that the family was responsible for covering any further costs from Auchi to Irrua, while the company solely paid for services at Lagoon Hospital in Lagos.

“The family paid the bills from Auchi to Irrua; no reimbursement has been given,” she bemoaned.

Phyna further said that efforts to contact Dangote Group on the day of Ruth’s funeral were unsuccessful.

“Dangote groups did not answer all of our calls on September 13th, the day of the burial, as we were informed that the bills were not paid, but they maintain that they were,” she wrote.

In addition, the reality star posted a letter that was written by Dangote Group and delivered to her father, requesting that he sign a receipt acknowledgment for the funeral costs.

She claimed that the family ought to have been requested directly for such a letter and accused the corporation of impersonating.

“I’m in a lot of grief about this letter that was given to my dad tonight. She wrote, “@dangotegroup, you killed my sister, did a ton of public relations, and gave the girl’s papa money for the funeral, but you still wrote an acknowledgement letter pretending to be my father and sent it to him to sign.”

Phyna questioned why a firm of that size would use such tactics rather than treating her family with integrity and respect, saying the behavior implied a conscious attempt to influence the narrative following the burial.
