In the Bwai district of Mangu Local Government Area in Plateau State, a pastor working as a missionary described how suspected Fulani militants carried out well-planned attacks on multiple towns in the district, resulting in the deaths of over thirty individuals and the burning of homes and other property.

Speaking in a video posted on social media on Tuesday, the pastor claimed that the bandits who overran the impacted villages in their hundreds killed men, women, and children and set all the homes and food silos on fire. He called this the most terrible thing he has ever witnessed in his life.
As a missionary, I am. In the video, the man of God stated, “I live in Ruff, which is close to Bwai district in Mangu local government area.”

“I am in charge of all the surrounding districts. The community of Kubat was overrun by Fulani militants who arrived during the night and launched a heavy onslaught.

The attack claimed the lives of about thirty people, including women, children, and people of all ages. The Fulani people launched a major attack on several villages, including Murish, Jwak, and others, only yesterday.

“The Fulanis even set up an ambush for us while we were traveling to the community where thirty people were slaughtered. By the grace of God, none of us were hit or hurt when they were firing at us. We had to crawl on the ground to escape being struck by the flying bullets.

Every home in every community they raided was set on fire. Their houses, grains, and food supplies were all destroyed by fire.

“We witnessed hundreds of militants engaging in gunfire with the troops while brandishing advanced weaponry.

“We buried 29 persons who died in Fungzai this morning. We completed right away and were on our way to Kubwai, where a second mass burial was planned. The nearby security officers had issued a security alert. They said that while the Fulani people were still there, we shouldn’t go to our goal.

Due to the dire circumstances and the Fulani people’s occupation of the villages, people are fleeing the communities. It’s a horrible, awful scenario. He bemoaned, “I can say that these attacks have been well-planned and coordinated and they have achieved their goal.”
