Out of the 21 local government areas in the Anambra governorship poll, the Independent National Electoral Commission has only published nine completed results to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV).
There are 313 polling places in Onitsha North LGA, 390 in Akwa South LGA, 208 in Orumba South LGA, 467 in Idemili North LGA, and 323 in Ihiala LGA. Oyi LGA has 207 polling places; Anambra East LGA has 241 polling places; Dunukofia LGA has 165 polling places; and Ayemelum LGA has 191 polling places.
This has not been explained by the electoral body.
Early on Sunday morning, INEC announced that Governor Charles Soludo had won the poll.
INEC reports that Mr. Soludo received 422,664 votes, defeating the other 15 contenders for governor.
Vote-buying was a defining feature of the gubernatorial poll, according to candidates and observers.
