BREAKING: Bandit Attack on Kebbi Girls’ School Leaves Vice Principal Dead, Students Kidnapped

After armed bandits stormed the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, GGCSS, Maga in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area, murdering the vice principal and kidnapping numerous pupils, panic spread throughout the Zuru Emirate in Kebbi State.

Malam Hassan Yakubu Makuku, the vice principal, was killed in the late-night incident after allegedly trying to protect students from the assailants.
Since the authorities have not yet released official information, the exact number of pupils abducted is yet unknown.

Murjanatu Hassan Gishiri, a resident who verified the incident, claimed that the attackers broke into the school without resistance, causing panic and trauma to the neighborhood.

“It is a heartbreaking tragedy that has caused deep fear and mourning throughout the entire region,” she bemoaned.

The deceased vice principal, whom the locals characterized as a dedicated teacher and guardian of the kids in his charge, has been the subject of ongoing prayers.

Locals are calling for immediate action from state and federal authorities to free the kidnapped kids and stop additional violence in schools and vulnerable communities around the region, even though security services have not yet released a formal comment on the attack.
