In order to strengthen and unite the party in front of the 2027 general elections, James Okoroma, the chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Imo State, called an important meeting with all 27 LGA chairmen.
The 27 LGA Chairmen of the party and other stakeholders reiterated their commitment to ensuring ADC wins the upcoming elections during the meeting, which was held at the party’s New Owerri office.
Speaking to the assembly, the State Chairman of the party stated that the meeting demonstrated the party’s growing power and unity.
The Chairman reviewed the party’s current progress and noted that the party’s rising influence in the state has been reinforced and sustained by the ongoing membership drive and revalidation process.
He praised the LGA Chairmen for their mature leadership, selflessness, and efficient coordination during the Ward Party Register distribution and return.
The party State Chairman went on to say that their commitment to making sure the exercise was carried out effectively and peacefully throughout the state was a step in the right direction for the party.
Okoroma underlined the significance of grassroots mobilization and called on party leaders, particularly those at the Ward and LGA levels, to act with honesty, inclusivity, and dedication. She also reaffirmed that growing the party’s membership and reaching a wider audience continue to be ADC’s top priorities.
The State Working Committee’s progressive and people-centered leadership was acknowledged by the LGA Chairmen, led by Omah Pius Omah, in their response.
They reiterated their shared determination to fortify the party, increase grassroots participation, and cooperate to guarantee the ADC’s triumph in the general elections of 2027.
