‘They Drank and Smoked for Four Days’ — Ned Nwoko Alleges Against Regina Daniels’ Family
Senator Ned Nwoko has claimed that when his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, caused a disturbance at an Abuja hotel, the police once detained some of her relatives.
Speaking at a recent gathering of the young people’s social club Kay Hikers Club, the senator from Delta North described how Daniels phoned him amid a conflict between hotel owners and a visitor.
He claimed that Regina and her friends, including her brother, had been staying at the facility for four days, during which time they had been “drinking and smoking.”
Nwoko said that after Daniels told him that she had been smacked by another hotel guest, the situation got worse.
He claimed that the actress then blocked the hotel’s two major doors with her cars, making it impossible for guests to enter or leave.
The senator claimed that because the issue necessitated the assistance of law enforcement, he rejected her request to get involved. Some of Regina’s relatives who were there at the scene were arrested after the police were eventually summoned.
“They took this place for four days,” he remarked. And they had four days of partying. It was four days of smoking, drinking, and all the other activities. I have evidence because I am a lawyer. I’m on a level. I have a benchmark. It was recorded that they were here from roughly the 9th to the 13th and that they used drugs and alcohol. Our police statements are in writing.
It is also known that they fought with both the hotel’s proprietors and its patrons. Regina called me on one of those days to let me know that she had shut the two gates and that I needed to notify the police commissioner so that no one could exit the hotel. What did I ask her for? She told me that she did not want anyone to leave or enter the hotel, and that when her doctors came to see her, someone’s husband hit her.
She informed me that she blocked the hotel’s entrance with a few of her vehicles. Until the cops arrived, she refused to comply with my request. For more than two hours, she stopped the gates.
“And some of them were taken into custody, including Regina’s siblings.”
The dispute between Nwoko and Regina started in October when a widely shared video featured the actress sobbing and accusing her husband of domestic abuse.
