NDU Executive Council Inauguration: Prof Umukoro Unveils ‘Ndoshimili Golden Age’ Agenda

Prof. Julie Nwabogo Umukoro, a professor of theatre and film studies, unveiled “Ndoshimili Golden Age” as NDU inaugurated the Interim Ndoshimili Development Union Executive Council on December 12, 2025, at Aboh, Headquarters of Ndokwa East LGA of Delta State, as part of efforts to chart the way forward for greatness, a new era of leadership, promote unity and social cohesion, a call for one destiny, the vision for one people, and a brighter future for the present and future generations to come.
Prof. Julie Nwabogo Umukoro revealed this information yesterday, Friday, December 12, 2025, shortly after the event, when she gave the keynote speech at the Ndoshimili Development Union (NDU) Interim Executive Council inauguration, which took place at Umu Ojugbeli Town Hall in Aboh, Ndokwa East LGA of Delta State.
Prof. Umukoro used the platform to praise the royal fathers, political figures, community leaders, and other dignitaries who attended the ceremony. Of particular note were the NELGA sons and daughters, who were honored with a lavish celebration on her birthday.
In an interview with our reporter, she said that the inauguration event signaled a new age of leadership and advancement for the communities in Delta State’s Ndokwa East LGA. Distinguished elders, thinking leaders, royal fathers, and pillars of the community attended the ceremony.
Renowned scholar and leader Professor Julie Nwabogo E. Umukoro stressed the need of unity, vision, and transformation in forming Ndoshimili’s future during her keynote speech. She said that a new age of unity, purpose, and legacy has been ushered in by the union of the NDA and NDU.
“The Ndoshimili Golden Age is not just a dream, but a destiny waiting for a people bold enough to imagine it and disciplined enough to build it,” says Prof. Julie Nwabogo Umukoro in her keynote address during the NDU Interim Executive Council Inauguration. Unity and social cohesion, culture as a basis for progress, human capital development, strategic political voice, economic reawakening, peace, and communal stability were among the main pillars of the Golden Age.
“We honor the elders, women, and youth of the Ndokwa East LGA communities, recognizing their contribution to the formation of our identity and future. We encourage young people to actively participate in community development since they are today’s drivers rather than tomorrow’s leaders.
In order to put Ndoshimili at the forefront of growth, we implore the NDU Executive Council, under the direction of its new leadership, to reestablish confidence, restore dignity, and balance interests. A better future for the residents of Ndoshimili is anticipated as a result of the Council’s inauguration, which ushers in a new era in Ndokwa East LGA history.
The presence of HRM, Dr. Gregory Oputa, the Obi of Aboh Kingdom, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Chief Monday Onyeme, the Most Distinguished Senator Barr.
