Bigiano, a Nigerian singer, has asserted that he composed the successful song Dami Duro for Davido, a fellow musician, and that he was in charge of the song’s hook.

According to reports, the Shayo crooner made the assertion in a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, where he discussed his career, his hiatus from music, and his role in one of Davido’s best early successes.

Bigiano claims that his contribution was crucial to the song’s popularity, which helped Davido become well-known after it was published in 2011.

“I composed Dami Duro for Davido. “I wrote the hook,” he remarked in the interview.

Bigiano is not formally recognized as a co-writer on the song, despite the assertion.

One of Davido’s most iconic songs, Dami Duro catapulted the artist to stardom soon after its debut.

The song has solidified its place in Nigerian music history by being named one of the “greatest Afrobeats songs of all time” by numerous local and international music fans over the years.

Bigiano explained that his extended absence from the music industry was intentional and calculated, characterizing it as a necessary hiatus before a more significant return.

“There are times when you need to take a break in order to return.” He stated, “I took a sabbatical to make a huge comeback to music.”

The artist also denied rumors that his lack of publicity was caused by financial difficulties, stating that he is still financially secure.

“I can’t be broke,” Bigiano continued.

However, as of the time this article was filed, Davido has not responded in public to Bigiano’s assertion that he co-wrote Dami Duro’s hook.

According to reports, “Dami Duro” continues to be a significant turning point in Davido’s music career.
