There is no antagonistic relationship between the administration of President Bola Tinubu and former ministers who worked under the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, according to former Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed.
Mohammed clarified this on Monday during an appearance with “Sunrise Daily,” a program that is watched on Channels Television.
He was responding to accusations that certain former ministers had engaged in corruption.
The lawmaker, who was born in Kwara, emphasized that Buhari accomplished a lot during his eight years in office and said that his legacy was not on trial.
To be honest, I don’t see any icy relationships. As someone who has served as a spokesperson for both the administration and the opposition, you can see that I have seen all sides of the argument.
“And I can understand why it might seem, probably occasionally, that one program or another is being discontinued, but really, like we say in politics, we campaign in poetry, but we rule in prose,” he remarked.
