This Barking Dog Made You Governor When Rivers People Didn’t Know You — Wike Claps Back at Fubara

Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has come under fire from Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike for his remarks on a barking dog.

Speaking on Thursday at the New Year’s banquet at the government house in Port Harcourt, Fubara reportedly claimed that dogs bark because they don’t grasp what’s going on in the house.

He claims that he is confident that everything will go well for him and that the trip will be easy.

The governor gave his followers the assurance that everything was set up to guarantee his victory in the election for a second term.

In reaction, Wike told the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni (ONELGA) residents on Friday that Fubara became governor despite the Rivers people not knowing him because of the barking dog.

Additionally, he made fun of individuals who support Fubara, emphasizing that they have no political advantage.

“This dog that’s barking now barked, even when Rivers people didn’t know who the person was, and the dog that barked made the person the governor when others ran away, and he’s not afraid that the same dog is barking now,” he stated. I hope he succeeds.

“We have made the decision to support Asiwaju Tinubu. There’s no debate about that, but we have to make a choice. We’re not going to repeat our previous error. We would fix the error.
