Atu “Krayzeetee” Terver, Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia’s Special Assistant on Youth and Media Mobilization, was discovered alive a few days after being kidnapped in Abuja.
Terver’s spouse shared the news on social media.
With the comment, “Praise to God who is Worthy of all Honour and Glory,” she posted a picture of Terver lying battered and feeble.
The picture suggests that he might have been subjected to torture while in detention.
The circumstances surrounding Terver’s seizure earlier this week remain unknown.
His wife claims he was able to make a brief distress call soon after the incident, stating just, “I have been abducted, call mummy,” before he lost contact.
Neither security services nor the Benue State government has released an official statement as of the time of this article, indicating how he was able to recover his freedom or whether any suspects had been taken into custody.
The Benue State House of Assembly has granted Governor Hyacinth Alia’s request to add ten more Special Advisers in order to bolster his government.
During plenary on Thursday, the approval was given in response to the governor’s letter requesting the lawmakers’ approval.
The decision will help the administration improve service delivery throughout the state and consolidate its development strategy, lawmakers argued.
They pointed out that the advisory panel needed to be expanded in order to give the governor professional advice on urgent governance issues.
Governor Alia was able to expand his staff even more with the new permission, which came days after he announced a new batch of important appointments to statutory boards and strategic agencies.
According to reports, in the next few days, the governor is anticipated to reveal the identities of the new Special Advisers.
