Zainab Balogun, a Nollywood actress, expressed her surprise at being paid ₦10,000 for a single cup of tea in a Lagos eatery.
She reportedly described how she went out to lunch with a friend, but since she wasn’t hungry, she merely ordered green tea.
She drank the tea from a pot with a big cup and didn’t examine the cost until the bill was delivered to her table.
She was shocked to find ₦10,000 advertised for the drink, which she claimed was just hot water with two tea bags, according to a video on her Instagram page.
She acknowledged that she had to pay because she had already used it, despite her disbelief.
Zainab made light of the fact that she wished she had taken photos at the restaurant to make the experience seem worthwhile.
The TV host stated that she would prefer to prepare her tea at home the next time and that the experience has made her more cautious when dining out.
“My mouth dropped so much that I was hoping the people sitting next to me didn’t see that flies were catching my mouth,” she remarked.

Since I drank their tea, I was obviously unable to dispute with them. It cannot be returned. I was required to pay.
“I ought to have participated in a photo session with another woman. You have to make good use of the space and your money.
However, I didn’t, and as a result, I spent ₦10,000 on tea in Lagos. At home, tea is available. This won’t take place once more.
