After six months out of office, entertainer Charles Oputa, well known by his stage as Charly Boy, has expressed support for Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as she returns to her duties at the National Assembly.
The senator from Kogi Central was said to have returned on Tuesday following her suspension due to suspected wrongdoing.

She formally resumed her legislative duties when Sergeant-at-Arms Alabi Adedeji, the Deputy Director of the National Assembly, reopened her office.

Charly Boy responded to the lawmaker’s tenacity in the face of political setbacks by posting a picture of her on Instagram and celebrating her return.

Tensions with Senate President Godswill Akpabio led to Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s suspension in March. He had previously dismissed her accusation of sexual harassment.

However, it was said that the suspension was due to reasons unrelated to the harassment allegation.

The senator insisted she had nothing to regret and stuck to her position of not apologizing for the incident when she returned.
