Elvis Akpobi, the Delta State Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mentoring and Development, has praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for putting youth empowerment first and completing significant infrastructure projects throughout the state.

He claims that Governor Oborevwori is progressively improving the standards for physical development and youth-focused government, bringing leadership into line with the improvement of communities and lives.

“The D-CARES initiative and other empowerment programs are real-world examples of the Governor’s conviction that access transforms everything,” Akpobi stated. By providing them with platforms, resources, and skills, young people are being prepared to lead in a variety of fields in addition to surviving.

Akpobi also highlighted the administration’s outstanding Overseas Leadership and Mentorship Training program, which has given more than 60 young Delta State leaders international experience.

He claims that the administration’s initiatives, such as the Offices of Youth Development and Job Creation’s strategic focus on digital skills, tech innovation, agribusiness, and exchange programs, demonstrate this belief.
Governor Oborevwori’s administration approach, according to Akpobi, is a “new model” that views infrastructure as a tool for maximizing human potential rather than just as physical structures.
