Hustlers cannot force President Bola Tinubu into appointing those who are undeserving, according to Bala Ibrahim, Director of Publicity for the All Progressives Congress.
In selecting Nigerians to fill open positions in his administration, the former governor of Lagos State, according to him, would focus on competence and capacity.
He stated that the President would have the discretion to make appointments to the Tinubu administration.
Following the dissolution of the boards of over 153 agencies, parastatals, institutions, and government-owned businesses on Monday, Tinubu is reportedly planning to fill no fewer than 2,000 vacancies.

According to information gathered on Wednesday, the President would fill the positions primarily with APC party members.
The 209 boards established by the former president Muhammadu Buhari in December 2017 included the dissolved boards.
According to the report, Tinubu announced the dissolution of the boards of all parastatals, agencies, and commissions of the Federal Government on Monday evening.
The APC members are anticipated to receive the majority of the lucrative appointments, though it is unclear when Tinubu intends to form the new boards.
The board appointments provided a means of rewarding and empowering party supporters, according to party sources, stated it on Wednesday.
Board appointments, according to APC Director of Publicity Bala Ibrahim, shouldn’t be viewed as a compensation scheme.
He pointed out that it was up to the President to decide whether he wanted technocrats or members of his party to serve in his administration.
“I don’t think that will be regarded as something that is paramount or fundamental, even if people are vying for appointments. The president won’t be bullied into giving in to pressure, I suppose.
“In delivering his agenda, I believe he will be on the lookout for competence and capacity. He had promised the people, as had the party. I don’t believe that who gets what jobs will be decided by the hustlers’ pressure. I’m thinking like this,” Ibrahim said.
