Boardwalk empire Micheal Pitt arrested on multiple charges
Known for his parts in Dawson’s Creek, Reptile, and Boardwalk Empire, Michael Pitt was arrested in New York City on several accusations, including sodomy, strangling, and sexual abuse.
According to court records that Fox News Digital was able to obtain, the 44-year-old actor was taken into custody at Brooklyn’s Kings Supreme Criminal Court on May 2.
Pitt is charged with third-degree sodomy, assault with a blunt object, second-degree strangulation, and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse.
The presiding judges have set his bail at $100,000, and he has entered a not guilty plea to all of the accusations.
The actor has been released from detention after posting bond, according to TMZ. On June 17, he is anticipated to appear in court.

Fox News Digital has yet to receive a response from Pitt’s reps.
In a statement, Jason Goldman, Pitt’s lawyer, told Variety, “Unfortunately, we live in a world where somebody like Mr. Pitt, an accomplished professional who would never even consider these crimes, can be arrested on the uncorroborated word of an unhinged individual.”
At a period when the two parties were in a fully voluntary and consenting relationship, about four or five years after the claimed encounter, this unfounded charge was curiously made. This case will be dropped.
