Andrew Nice Ominikoron, a driver, was given a death by hanging sentence by a Lagos State High Court located in Tafawa Balewa Square.
Ominikoron, a Lagos Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) driver, was given a death sentence for the murder of fashion designer Bamise Ayanwola, age 22.
The trial judge, Sherifat Sonaike, rendered the decision on Friday.

Ominikoron and other others currently on the loose were charged with plotting, raping, and killing Bamise.
Bamise boarded a BRT bus in February 2022, however she never arrived at her destination.
Her nude body was later discovered on the side of the road by security personnel.
After she boarded the BRT, the driver was apprehended and charged with murder.
Ominikoron, the driver, entered a not guilty plea but was found guilty and given the death penalty.
