A Federal High Court in Kaduna State has found Nigerian TikToker Muhammad Kabir guilty of mistreating and disfiguring the Naira in a social media video and sentenced him to prison.
According to a statement released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday, Kabir was taken into custody in the Tudun Wada region of Kaduna State on May 13, 2025.
According to the anti-graft agency, Kabir, who goes by @youngcee0066 on Instagram and TikTok, was caught in a viral video stepping on Naira notes, spraying them on the ground, and using provocative Hausa language while threatening to have the EFCC arrest him at his known location.
After being taken into custody, Kabir was charged with one count of an amended charge and presented before Justice R.M. Aikawa of the Federal High Court, Kaduna.
After Kabir entered a guilty plea to the accusation, M.U. Gadaka, the prosecution’s attorney, urged the court to find him guilty and sentence him appropriately.

Following that, Justice Aikawa sentenced Kabir to six months in prison or a fine of ₦300,000 that would be paid to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
According to the charge, “You Muhammad Kabir Sa’ad (also known as youngcee0066)(M) committed an offense against Section 21(3) of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007 that is punishable under Section 21(1) of the same Act sometime in 2025 in Kaduna within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court by stepping on the Naira banknotes while creating a social media video and posting them online.”
