Dangote Denies Ownership of Truck Involved in Ondo Fatal Accident

The vehicle that killed a pregnant mother, a kid, and six other people in an accident at Akungba-Akoko, Akoko South-West Local Government Area, Ondo State, has been rejected by Dangote Group as its property.

In a statement posted on its X account on Wednesday, the business provided the clarification.
Following allegations that a vehicle carrying cement had brake failure and collided with traders and other road users, the statement was released.

Dangote firm responded by stating that neither the firm nor any of its subsidiaries own the truck that was involved in the terrible tragedy.
The truck is owned and run by a separate logistics company that is not connected to the Dangote Group, according to the vehicle registration records, it was added.

“Dangote Group has denied rumors that it was connected to a truck that was engaged in a traffic accident in Akungba-Akoko, Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, that were making the rounds on social media and on other websites.

The company wants to be very clear that neither Dangote Group nor any of its companies own the truck that was involved in the regrettable occurrence.

The statement states, “The truck with Plate No. JJJ 365 XB is owned and operated by an independent logistics company with no affiliation to Dangote Group, as confirmed by verified vehicle registration details.”
