Deeone Reacts To VeryDarkman’s Release From EFCC Custody, Criticizes Supporters
The recent release of social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has prompted comments from former Big Brother Naija contestant Aderombi Adedayo Martin, also known as Deeone.
After being in EFCC custody for a while, VDM reportedly regained his freedom. His colleague Dkokopee relayed the information, and Cubana Chiefpriest, a nightlife entrepreneur, verified it by sharing a video of VDM leaving the agency’s location.
Deeone responded to the news by criticizing VDM’s supporters, known as the “Ratels,” for allegedly supporting acts that resulted in the activist’s legal issues. He disclosed that he had recently returned to Lagos and thanked a well-known but nameless human rights attorney for his work in winning VDM’s release.

In a video message, Deeone cautioned VDM’s followers against putting him in danger once more, implying that more difficulties would teach the activist a valuable lesson. VDM is still anticipated to appear in court to face charges relating to alleged financial crimes, he added, emphasizing that the matter was far from over.
It is important to remember that Deeone and VDM have a history of disagreement. In the past, especially after losing his TikTok account, Deeone has taken advantage of every opportunity to publicly disparage VDM and his fan base.
