Babachir Lawal, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), claims that fugitives escaping the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) now find refuge in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, a former Action Alliance candidate for governor of Kogi State, defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Saturday.
During the ADC stakeholders’ meeting in Yola, Adamawa State, Babachir declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the APC would both lose the general elections in 2027.
The APC’s only motto, according to the National Vice Chairman of the ADC, is to write electoral results even before polls start.
Since it won’t occur, this is a complete misconception. “Nigerians will support us in preventing any illegal manipulation of the 2027 election results,” he declared.
However, the former SGF cautioned that not all politicians who defected from other parties would be welcomed into the ADC, lest their corrupt, undemocratic home parties’ views taint its principles.
He characterized the ADC as a group of patriots and visionaries who are dissatisfied with the PDP and APC’s leadership of the nation.
“Every Nigerian who is patriotic now knows that our nation is on the precipice. He said, “The ADC gives Nigerians a chance to turn around, reevaluate, and reroute our governance toward a progressive, people-centric system.”
