Ego Boyo, a seasoned Nollywood actress, has disclosed that her choice to retire from acting was motivated by personal desire rather than, as is commonly assumed, marital pressure.
According to Naija News, Chude Jideonwo, a media personality, interviewed the 56-year-old.
The actress claimed that she quit performing after realizing that making movies fulfilled her more.

She clarified that she had shifted her concentration to working behind the scenes in the film industry because she was no longer excited by acting.

“I quit acting when I realized that I preferred producing over acting,” she stated. It was dull. The blogs wanted it to be exciting, which it wasn’t, and to say something like “my husband banned me from it.”

Boyo started her career in entertainment in the 1980s and rose to recognition in the early 1990s because to her role in the television show Checkmate.

She has devoted her efforts to film production and other artistic endeavors since leaving the performing profession.

She also responded to the rumors that her husband prevented her from performing, claiming that they were untrue and intended merely to create drama.

In related developments, Nigerian actor Efa Iwara has stated that he is not happy with his career’s current state.

According to reports, Chude Jideonwo, a media personality, interviewed the Men’s Club actor.

The movie actor acknowledged that while he has improved, he still feels that he hasn’t realized his full potential.

Iwara stated that, so long as it doesn’t have an adverse effect on his health, he believes he can accomplish much more and is prepared to push himself further.

“No,” he responded. My career is not where I want it to be. I think I’m capable of so much more. I believe there is a great deal of unrealized potential. If I don’t have a breakdown, I think I could work twice as hard as I do now. I simply never seem to be content.
