Eight Suspected Cultists and Armed Robbers Arrested in Lagos
Eight alleged members of a well-known cult and armed robbery gang were captured by Lagos State Police Command agents during a targeted operation in the Odogunyan neighborhood of Ikorodu.
The Bullock Tactical Team conducted the operation in the early hours of Tuesday, October 15, 2025, in response to reliable intelligence regarding the actions of local criminal elements, the Command said in a statement.
The crew attacked a suspected hideout at around 5:30 a.m. and arrested eight people who were reportedly planning synchronized strikes.
Fadiya Ayodele, Lawal Rasheed, Akerele Demilare, Alimi Victor, Okiki Alufoge, Nurudeen Dolapo, Agboola Samuel, and Ayolade Victor were named as the suspects.
A Nigerian military camouflage suit, a war axe, an assault dagger, many charms, and counterfeit foreign currency totaling $3,000 in fictitious $100 bills were among the things recovered from the scene.
Fadiya Ayodele admitted to being the head of the Eiye Confraternity in the Odogunyan axis, according to preliminary investigation. He also revealed that he had previously given a locally manufactured handgun to an as-yet-untraceable Adewunmi Annadex.
Police officials affirmed that they are working to find the fugitive and retrieve the firearm.
In addition to praising the tactical team for their prompt action, Commissioner of Police CP Olohundare Jimoh reassured the populace that the Command is unwavering in its resolve to uphold peace and order throughout Lagos State.
