In order to show that Chelsea is “back” to their competitive best, manager Enzo Maresca thinks that the team’s Conference League victory might be a major turning point.
Chelsea is hopeful of making it to the final after putting up a great show against Swedish club Djurgarden in the first leg of the semi-final, where they took a commanding 4-1 lead.
The championship match is scheduled for May 28 in Wroclaw, Poland. Fiorentina or Real Betis are two possible rivals for Chelsea.
In response to the question of whether winning a trophy in UEFA’s third division would be a game-changer for Chelsea, Maresca said, “Yes, in my opinion, winning a trophy like the Conference League is a clear indicator that Chelsea is back.”
He stressed how crucial it is to win a trophy and pointed out that the Conference League is a new beginning for the team.
He went on to say, “The reason elite teams like Real Madrid aren’t playing in the Conference League is because they have a different level of experience.” It is time to begin expanding upon the current foundation, which is reflected in our participation.

Chelsea would become the first team in Europe to win all of the major European competitions if they won the Conference League, Maresca said, adding to the club’s already impressive legacy.
The club will be able to approach the semifinal and final with a winning mentality, he said.
According to Transfermarkt, Chelsea’s team is worth 44 times more than Djurgarden’s, but the goal is still to focus on the current assignment.
As stated by goalie Filip Jorgensen, the team hopes to approach the forthcoming match with seriousness: “We will treat this with the importance it deserves.” This is a European competition semi-final, and we are excited to make it to the championship game.
