A 2019 Lamborghini Urus that is reportedly connected to a fraud case has been asked to be seized by Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
According to reports, the vehicle was confiscated from the home of well-known Ghanaian rapper Shatta Wale in Trassaco during a legal search.
The FBI claims that the car is linked to Nana Kwabena Amuah, a Ghanaian who is incarcerated in the US for a number of financial offenses.
The car is thought to have been part of the illicit profits from his operations, and he is currently serving an 86-month term.
The US has proposed a $4.7 million compensation proposal that includes the return of the Lamborghini.
The seizure occurred in June following a legitimate search by EOCO’s Surveillance and Asset Recovery Unit, the agency said in a statement issued by Raymond Archer, interim director.
According to EOCO, the seizure was conducted without any confrontation and in accordance with the correct protocols.
For safety, the operation’s officers were armed.

Shatta Wale, who took to social media to vent his ire over the armed officers, claimed that EOCO was attempting to bring him into disrepute.
He criticized the agency’s chief and questioned why guns were required for the operation.
The musician added that he had no knowledge of any connection between Nana Kwabena Amuah and the car.
He maintained that he never interacted with the imprisoned man and that he paid $150,000 for the Lamborghini as a third-party buyer.
He said that he didn’t know who brought the car to Ghana in the first place.
According to EOCO, Shatta Wale requested that they not make the confiscation public as the car was strongly associated with his persona.
The car is currently in EOCO’s custody after the agency let him to turn it over on his own.
