Timi Dakolo, a singer, criticized popular cleric Femi Lazarus for charging $150 for his school of ministry. Lazarus has responded.
According to reports, the pair got into arguments over whether or not gospel singers should be paid for their performances at church functions and events.
Pastor Lazarus blasted gospel musicians who demand payment for their ministry in a widely shared video, saying that they should put their faith in God for provision rather than focusing on making money.

He maintained that gospel performers are more than just entertainers; they are gospel ministers.
In response, Dakolo strongly disagreed with Pastor Lazarus’ viewpoint, claiming that pastors force gospel singers to perform for free even though they have other financial commitments.

Speaking again in a recent post, Dakolo accused Lazarus of charging $150 for students to attend his ministry school, which offers Christian instruction.

Dakolo drew attention to the fact that Lazarus charges for his ministry school, which appears to run counter to his position on the fees for gospel singers.

A netizen named Deeemaths inquired about the cost, saying, “But you charge $150 for your school of ministry? Could you please elaborate, sir? I assumed it was ministry.

“Yes o, it is a school,” Lazarus said simply.

His response suggests that his ministry school’s instruction and training are worthy of payment.
