Five Worshippers Abducted, One Injured in Zamfara Bandit Attack

In an early-morning assault on Maradawa village in Rijiya District, Gusau Local Government Area, Zamfara State, armed bandits have kidnapped five worshippers and wounded one.

Zagazola Makama, a counterinsurgency specialist, revealed this in a post on X Friday.

The attack reportedly happened on Thursday while locals were praying the Subhi (dawn) prayers.

Makama revealed that the thugs allegedly shot at the worshippers, injuring one before capturing five others and taking them to an unidentified location.

The wounded victim was then transported to a hospital for medical attention after troops arrived on the scene.

To rescue the victims and return things to normal, troops have been sent to the region and are presently pursuing the perpetrators.
