Former-Imo speaker’s orderly found dead in bush
Chiji Collins, a former speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, had an orderly who was found dead.
The victim, who has only been identified as Charles, was discovered dead in a bush in the state’s Oguta Local Government Area a few days ago.
Charles, a police inspector, and a driver were taken hostage in the state’s Ohaji/Egbema region a few weeks ago.
When they were stopped and taken into a bush by their assailants, they were reportedly travelling in a Hilux and a Sports Utility Vehicle.
While Charles’ whereabouts were still being sought after, the driver was later discovered dead.
Charles’ dead body, which had already started to decompose, was later discovered in a bush a few days ago.
According to the victim’s coworkers, the death of the police inspector, who was from the state’s Mbaise region, saddened the command.
Charles’ body was discovered in a bush in the Oguta area, according to one of the sources who asked not to be named. His body has already broken down. In such a tragic way, he was killed. On his neck, he received a cut. It’s absolutely repulsive.
When contacted, Henry Okoye, a spokesman for the state’s police department, confirmed the incident and added that Muhammed Berde, the department’s commissioner, had ordered a group of police investigators to track down the murderers.
He asserted that the command would see to it that those responsible for the Inspector’s death are apprehended and made to suffer the full force of the law.
