Fulani Kidnappers Demand Jollof Rice, Chicken, Energy Drinks, and N15 Million Ransom in Delta – Oborevwori Aide
In order to free a driver and a doctor, the kidnappers sought a ransom of ₦15 million, cooked jollof rice, chicken, energy drinks, and other stuff, according to Harrison Gwamnishu, special assistant to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
According to Gwamnishu, the kidnapping incident happened near the Issele-Uku freeway on Monday night at approximately 6:30 p.m.
The abductors, who are allegedly armed Fulani kidnappers, demanded the money in exchange for the safe release of the victims, according to Gwamnishu.
He added on Facebook, “They carried out another attack yesterday evening, this time at the Issele-Uku Express.” Chibueze, an airport driver, and the passenger he was driving from Issele-Uku to Asaba are among the victims. The abduction happened between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. The man who managed to get away from the kidnapper claims that Fulani Armed Kidnappers are the ones responsible.

“I just saw another N15,000,000 delivered as ransom to Armed Fulani kidnappers at Ubulu-Okiti Express, Delta State, along with cooked jellof rice, chicken, energy drinks, etc.”
The ransom was delivered in the state along the Ubulu-Okiti Express, Gwamnishu continued.
The victims were abducted from Issele-Uku by the attackers yesterday evening, and they were held hostage at Ubulu-Okiti this evening. In other words, they didn’t travel very far,” he stated.
Gwamnishu voiced his worry about local vigilante groups’ lack of resources and money, claiming they are ill-equipped to combat the threat.
“I witnessed our people vehemently complaining that they lack resources and funding. They will be in the bush if they are properly equipped, I was told. Do I think they’re real? Absolutely,” he continued.
Residents of Ogwashi-Uku, Azagba-Ogwashi, Issele-Azagba, Edo-Ogwashi, Aniagbala, Ubulu-Uku, Issele-Uku, Utulu, Ibusa, Ubulu-Unor, Anifekide, Akuku-AGBOR, and Onicha-Ugbo were cautioned by the governor’s aide to exercise caution.
