Gov Fintiri Urges PDP to Maintain Ibadan Venue for Upcoming Convention
Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State and the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Convention Planning Committee, said the party is traveling to Ibadan for the elective convention that is scheduled to take place there.
This was revealed by Fintiri in an interview with reporters shortly after a meeting on Thursday evening.
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, PDP National Chairman Umar Damagum, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba, and former Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs Tanimu Turaki were among those present at the meeting, which was held at the Bauchi State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro.
“We just finished our crucial stakeholders’ meeting, when many intricate choices were made.
Fintiri declared, “I want to tell you here that our convention is sacrosanct and we are going to Ibadan for it.”
Attempts to elicit additional remarks from him regarding the party’s current situation were unsuccessful as his security guards promptly escorted him away.
