Governor Lawal Under Fire as APC Youth Wing Alleges Misappropriation of State Funds
Governor Dauda Lawal has been accused by the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Youth Wing, of “squandering public resources on political vendettas,” claiming that his administration has not addressed Zamfara State’s infrastructure decline and insecurity.
Governor Lawal’s administration “has been defined by failure,” according to a statement released on Sunday by the APC National Youth Wing, which was signed by Comrade Danjuma Nuhu, its National Youth Leader.
His ineptitude was exposed by his careless expenditures on pointless political endeavors. Nuhu asserted that Zamfara deserved better.
At the stakeholders’ consultation meeting for Zamfara Central on Saturday, Hon. Muhammad Lawal Kuryar Madaro, a former candidate for the Kaura Namoda South State House of Assembly from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), announced his defection to the APC in Gusau. It was learned that the accusation came after Madaro’s announcement.
When the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, proclaimed Kamilu Sa’idu of the APC the victor of the Kaura Namoda South parliamentary seat in the August supplemental election, Kurya defected.
Other PDP members who were “disillusioned with Governor Lawal’s administration” were also urged by the APC Youth Wing to defect to the APC and back the party’s stability and development agenda.
