Victor Ndoma-Egba, the former Senate Majority Leader, has denied any intention to step away from active politics.
According to a source, Senator Ndoma-Egba stated that some of his friends are still serving as university professors and judges of the Supreme Court.
The three-term senator declared that he would keep advocating for his people in an interview conducted in Calabar.
The former majority leader of the Senate emphasized that he could advocate for his people without having to occupy a political office.
“You can represent your people without holding an office. It’s too late for me to remain silent, which is why God brought me this far,” he remarked.
He claims that while discussing his 2019 Senate campaign, he was asked if he was too old for politics.
Ndoma-Egba said, “My classmates who are still serving as Supreme Court Justices haven’t retired. Professors at universities continue to teach.
He promised to keep speaking for his people even though he hasn’t made a decision yet until the 2027 election.
“From the palace to the trenches, I will continue to speak for my people,” he declared.

Additionally, the former senator from Cross River Central praised Governor Bassey Otu’s work in the state.
“Government is being reset to the conventional approaches we are accustomed to during Senator Bassey Otu’s administration.
“The past eight years have been an experiment with various styles, many of which lacked empirical research.” According to the Daily Post, Otu is now returning governance to the lessons we learned in school.
