‘I Never Imagined Being a Victim’ – Bobrisky Reveals How He Was Scammed Online
Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, Bobrisky, a well-known Nigerian socialite and crossdresser, has disclosed that he was lately the victim of an online romance fraud.
The public figure said on his Instagram page that he lost $990 to a scammer.
He voiced his surprise and dismay at the event, saying he never thought he would be the target of such a plot.
He said the con artist had been corresponding with him for months, claiming to live in the US before moving to Canada.
He clarified that the con artist called regularly and pretended to be genuinely interested in his life during their encounter, maintaining consistent communication.
According to the transvestite, “I never imagined in my life that I would be a client to anybody.” About a couple months have passed since this guy DM’d me and we started chatting. He gives me a call nearly daily. “I lived in the United States, but I moved to Canada,” he stated.

When a U.S. client contacted Bobrisky for an advertisement and wanted to use CashApp to make a deposit, he said the scam took a different direction. In order to get the money, he next requested assistance from the alleged lover.
A few weeks later, an ad request came from someone in the USA. After she mentioned that she required a CashApp to pay her deposit, I asked the man who was speaking to me. I’ll have his own, he said. He continued, “He blocked me right away after receiving the money.”
To further caution admirers not to fall for similar scams, the socialite posted screenshots of their conversations and a picture of the accused scammer on his page.
