I Wasn’t Angry – Etinosa Idemudia Opens Up on Being Mocked Over PCOS
Etinosa Idemudia, a Nollywood actress, has talked about being ridiculed online because of her medical condition.
The 40-year-old actress reportedly disclosed in an Instagram post that she was made fun of for changes in her body, such as weight gain and facial hair, which she subsequently discovered were related to polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).
The mother of one clarified that she looked into her symptoms after coming across trolls.
She learned that the bodily changes were brought on by PCOS, a disease that affects women and is treatable but incurable.
She started treating the symptoms to enhance her health after speaking with her physician.
Additionally, the actress encouraged other ladies with PCOS by using her platform.
She emphasized that being made fun of, whether by loved ones or strangers, shouldn’t sap one’s self-esteem or optimism.
She emphasized that physical problems shouldn’t deter women with PCOS from pursuing their goals of becoming mothers.
“A lady came to troll me talking about visceral fat,” she wrote. I didn’t become upset; instead, I looked it up on Google and discovered that it was caused by PCOS, a medical disorder that primarily affects women.
“I talked to my gynecologist about how to handle this because there is no cure for PCOS; you can only control its symptoms.
“I’m writing to all women who suffer from PCOS to let them know that they are not alone. You will triumph even if it’s strangers on the internet or your spouse making fun of you.
“You will carry your child, just as I carried mine. You are not diminished by persistent obesity or facial hair. You are sufficient and lovely.
