The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the arrest of 27 people for impersonation during the ongoing 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The suspects have been sent to Nigeria Police for immediate legal action.
Furthermore, JAMB announced the delisting of four Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers that did not fulfill its high technical and ethical requirements.
The delisted centres are:
Adventure Associate, beside Sheshe Supermarket, off Hadejia Road, Kano, Kano State.
Saadatu Rimi College of Education is located at Zaria Road in Naibawa, Kano State.
Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 1, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal.
Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 2, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal.
“While JAMB applauds the 883 centers that have demonstrated exceptional performance, it emphatically warns that any center that fails to meet ethical or technical standards, regardless of ownership, will be blacklisted,” said JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin in a statement issued Friday night.

Candidates who were originally assigned to the impacted centres have been instructed to reprint their examination slips as soon as possible to acquire updated information about their revised examination locations and dates.
The examination board apologized for any trouble this may cause. However, the board has indicated that no excuses will be accepted from candidates who do not reprint their slips.
Furthermore, JAMB said that as of Friday, April 25, 2025, more than 900,000 candidates have successfully finished the UTME, out of a total of 2,083,600 registered nationally.
Furthermore, the board examined an incident at Caleb University’s CBT center in which some candidates wearing hijabs were allegedly denied access. JAMB described this conduct as ‘unauthorised’ and affirmed that it was quickly corrected.
“This mistaken move was the product of an overzealous security guard.
“We extend our sincere apologies to the affected candidates and commend the leadership of both the centre and the university for their prompt intervention, which ensured that no candidate suffered undue disadvantage,” a spokesperson for JAMB said.
The examination organization reaffirmed its commitment to administering a fair and transparent examination procedure to all applicants nationwide.
