Bimbo Akintola, a seasoned Nollywood actress, has shared details about her personal life.
The actress reportedly claimed that she has turned down numerous marriage offers because she hasn’t found the proper partner.
The 52-year-old actress clarified in an interview with Biola Bayo that she does not perceive being single as an issue.
She went on to say that she prefers finding a life partner to caving in to peer pressure.
She claimed that a growing number of divorces and broken households in Nigeria are a result of many women being forced into marriage for the wrong reasons.
Boys should be taught accountability just as much as girls, according to Akintola, who also emphasized the need of parents providing equal training for their daughters and sons.
Instead of carrying on with his studies or other activities as if nothing had happened, she argued, a man who gets a woman pregnant should be responsible enough to raise the child.
She went on to discuss cyberbullying and advised women to put more of their attention on industrious guys who are willing to grow with them rather than concentrating solely on material prosperity.
“I don’t see it as a negative that I haven’t found my partner, the person I want to spend the rest of my life with,” she added. Despite been asked to marry me numerous times, I have always declined.
“Did you simply get married because everyone said to get married? The number of divorces in Nigeria is rapidly increasing. If a marriage has failed, some people get married before leaving the reception.
“Teach your sons, just as you teach your daughters, that the body is the temple of God. You will stop attending school as soon as you become pregnant, my love. Work, raise your child, and go.
“Avoid concentrating on wealthy men. Look for men who are willing to grow with you and who put in a lot of work.
