Lagos Police Arrest Eight Suspected Cultists Linked to Killings at YabaTech
At least eight suspects in multiple cult-related deaths at Yaba College of Technology and the surrounding area have been taken into custody by tactical officers of the Lagos State Police Command.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, said in a statement that the arrest came after an intelligence-led operation on April 29, 2025.
Adeyemo Abdulsamad, also known as Cloud, Afeez Enitan, Ayomide Daniel, Olamilekan Adeagbo, also known as Skinny, Mayor Samson, Basit Ishola, Quadri Sikiru, and Mariam Salihu were the suspects named by the PPRO.
He claimed that during the operation, the suspects were found in possession of two battle axes, two cutlasses, one cartridge, four 9mm rounds, and one Beretta pistol.

The full scope of the suspects’ involvement in cult-related activities is still being investigated, according to the authorities.
The public is guaranteed that the accused will be subjected to the full force of the law.
“While praising the quick reaction and superb work of the Lagos State Command’s tactical teams and Eko Strike Force, which conducted the operation, Commissioner of Police CP Olohundare Jimoh urged the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police for appropriate action.”
