Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has claimed that when she was making free meals for Lagos’ homeless population, she was attacked by uniformed police.

The actress shared her incident on Instagram, saying that she was confronted by cops who appeared to be from the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) task force when she was conducting community outreach.
Sarah claims that the officers harassed her, confiscated her food supplies and cooking equipment, and interrupted the philanthropic event.

Additionally, she shared a video of her damaged hand on social media, expressing her anguish and shock at what she said was an unprovoked attack.
“My heart aches,” she stated in her post. As usual, I was preparing free meals for the homeless and vulnerable on Lagos’ streets today when a group of men in uniform approached, harassed, and intimidated me. They also took away the food I was preparing, my cooking gas, and everything else I was using.

“My only transgression was putting love on a plate by preparing nutritious meals. I don’t cook for a living, thus I’m not a chef.

The actress made it clear that helping those in need was the only reason behind her outreach.

She emphasized that her goals were just to assist the homeless and foster goodwill in the community, and she further urged the appropriate authorities to look into the situation and make sure justice is done.
